Cultivation & harvest

Celery prefers a sunny to maximum partial shade location. Nutrient-rich, loamy soils which are also calcareous and sufficiently moist are suitable for the strong growers.

Use

Steamed or fried, celery is an ideal accompaniment to fish or poultry dishes. It can be baked with good results, too. The vegetable can also be combined with fruit and goes particularly well with apples.

Storage

Celery keeps in the crisper drawer of the fridge for one to two weeks.
