Cultivation & harvest

Kiwis are grown as climbing plants on humus-rich, well-drained soils in sunny, sheltered spots and require trellises, regular care, and patience until the first harvest.

Use

Kiwi can be easily eaten with a spoon. The fruits are a delicious addition to fruit salads or desserts like cakes or combined with yogurt. Kiwi can also be added to smoothies.

Storage

Kiwis should be stored in a cool, dark, and dry place. An ideal spot is a cool cellar or a refrigerator. At a temperature between 0 and 0.5 degrees Celsius, the fruits can be stored for up to a month.
